Making the league big! Communication, arts & culture, and creative communities have been my areas of play since my teenage years. More than a career, I've pursued these as a way of life and lifelong learning. With a wide set of curiosities, and journeys that were created in their unlikely pursuits, I'm most comfortable with dealing with all kinds of ‘new’ - I love finding new ways through new ideas to explore uncharted territories where I can leave a meaningful mark behind. Along the way, I have found people, stories & life experiences that I couldn't have imagined. Goodness has far outweighed the bad & I am grateful for all meaningful interactions with humans, animals & nature, and I naturally love paying it forward every day. Yet, I'm not a hopeless romantic. I'm a believer in creativity to manifest new ways of:Thinking | Learning | Knowing | Responding | Resisting | Doing Building synergistic relationships | Finding interdisciplinary solutions for multifaceted problems | Improving processes and flows | Extending efficiency | while constantly evolving with the times. I believe all humans are creative but some haven't found an able mentor, a supporting voice, a way to express themselves or the tools to do so. But the void of creativity largely exists because of time at hand and other social inequities. In the age of AI, rapid climate change and polarized media, sovereignty of thought and creativity will be exceedingly needed for every human to deal with the new world order and to stay relevant. Creative development needs to be induced in society as an intrinsic and extrinsic need in the 21st century through policy-making, education, & workplaces. Today, governments, boards of major corporations, enterprises or even some unicorns don't have creative leadership or a Chief Creative Officer in their CXO ranks. Promoting and propagating creativity equitably in society will be a big part of my endeavors, into the future. Creativity, its philosophy and craft, makes me who I am, drives what I do & how I do it. Listening | Understanding needs & stages | Envisioning brand journeys & growth | Storytelling across mediums & formats | Creative practice design | Adopting new technologies at the onset | Culture & people management | Brand, communication & content strategy | Creative direction | Copywriting | Presentations | Integrated campaign design & management | Creating & managing social media ecosystems | Live experience design & management (on/offline) | Films design, production & marketing | Community creation & management |

Co-Founder And PartnerEnvironmental Art Exchange Jan 2022 - PresentIndia / SwitzerlandEnvironmental Art Exchange was initiated by Shazeb Shaikh and Johannes Hedinger as a winning proposal of the international To-gather grant launched by Pro Helvetia - Swiss Arts Council. Our purpose is to find new ways to deepen the relationship between humans and nature in the growing climate crisis, using land and environmental art as a medium. As part of the project, we are developing a platform with an international network of environmental actors, their content, and live experiences, to interconnect the general public with environmental topics they most relate with. The project is an experiment in environmental communication, awareness and action that functions on threading the massive tag cloud of climate change into simple tags and topics. Until now, we have produced: Grass Museum by Dharmendra Prasad A breathing artwork that transformed a 130 year old barn in the alpine village of Tenna with local hay, rope, labour and a collection of objects (agrarian tools and equipment or items used in daily life) borrowed from the local community of farmers. Grass Museum was one of 15 artworks spread across 25 miles of the valley created for the Art Safiental biennale produced by the Institute of Land and Environmental Art (ILEA) in partnership with the Kanton of Grabunden. The processual work was created over a 3 month residency at the Alpenblick Berghotel in Tenna with artist Dharmendra Prasad and curator Shazeb Shaikh. The duo also became part of the core team of the Alps Art Academy, a summer school, and ILEA Talks, a symposium, both centred around the Art Safiental biennale and themes of land and environmental art.Stories of Grass by Dharmendra PrasadAn exhibition juxtaposing the works and philosophy of the artist working with grass as a subject in India and Switzerland. Over 100 artworks including hay sculptures from the Grass Museum and organic 'workbooks' are displayed over 4 floors of the ILEA gallery spread across the Alpenblick Berghotel.

Founder, Director And Chief CuratorThe Blackout Festival Dec 2012 - PresentMumbai Area, IndiaThe Blackout promotes Experimental Urban Subculture through festivals created with 3 principles:1) no permissions 2) no exchange of money 3) no themes The Blackout started as India's first apartment festival hosted over 72 nonstop hours to celebrate the end of the world based on the Mayan legend of the date 21-12-2012. It was also an experiment in reviving the Mumbai underground culture scene that has gradually dissipated since the 2000s. In 2013, the Blackout was hosted on a rooftop in the heart of the upmarket / tourist area of Bandstand featuring a wide canvas of subcultural experiences and formats. In 2014, the Blackout invited 10 artists for a 72-hour residency to explore the acute crunch of time and space in a city like Bombay. Made into 5 pairs or cross-disciplinary duos, each pair got a tent as their primary resource to create something while living on the terrace for 3 days. The Blackout was invited to Basel in 2015 where it hosted its biggest edition yet featuring 63 artists from all 6 continents in presence and 34 live events spread across major art venues in the city. The festival sparked friendly connections between partners, artists and the people of the city that are still thriving. In 2016, the Blackout produced an exhibition of statements using caution tape to write on the floors of the city. Every statement was placed within a local or locational context and in all covered over 1.2 km of the city's lanes, streets, highways, bridges with the texts. The exhibition of statements were invited to Caldas da Rainhas in Portugal bringing together local messages with the same visual concept of black and yellow caution tape as it is meant to grab your attention. The Blackout's last edition was a cultural experiment hosted as a 10 day festival (Jan-Feb 2023) in the villages of North Goa to connect its new, old, and original residents over common interests. The Blackout continues to evolve and present new formats of social interactions.
