I am a current biology major/pre-med student at the University of Florida located in Gainesville, Fl. Work experience includes: one year in the food service industry (4Rivers Smokehouse, Winter Park, Fl), summer staff position/internship at local veterinary hospital shadowing veterinarians, aiding in surgery, and helping to complete routine procedures within the clinic. During my time at the veterinary clinic I developed vital experience within the medical field that will allow me to better function within a medical environment in the future. Being exposed to real life surgical procedures, lab tests, and real time diagnostics confirmed my aspirations to find a career in the medical field. After my time at The University of Florida, so far, I am still unsure as to what medical specialty I would like to pursue. My Personal skills are centered around organization and communication with a strong background in the Spanish language. Spanish skills have been developed to a proficient level due to 5 years of Spanish courses as well as service in the Dominican Republic.
