I am a caregiver, motivator, advocate, mentor, innovator and community connector. Most importantly—I am bringing light to the darkness of cancer. My journey has been a tapestry of rich experiences, from coordinating a youth mentoring program to volunteering with the Brookings Relay for Life board, where I channeled my efforts into fundraising and raising awareness. A pivotal moment in my life was when my mother-in-law was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. This deeply personal experience further fueled my commitment to make a difference, particularly in roles that blend compassion with action.Today, as a Fundraising Campaign Manager for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I am dedicated to mobilizing resources and rallying communities to support groundbreaking research and patient care. My career aspirations extend to public health policy, with a particular focus on rural communities, where I aim to drive meaningful change through research and advocacy.Every step I take in my career is guided by the values instilled in me from being a caretaker– empathy, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of positive impact.
