Oversee all finance aspects for the refinery including-Monthly financial analysis as well as presentation of earnings results and key business drivers to refinery management and corporate headquarters-Development of the refinery budget and budget presentations for executive management-Earnings and cash flow forecasting on a monthly basis -Management of the monthly accounting process for AP/AR, journal entries, and financial statements-Interpretation of accounting policy issues including capital vs. expense and lease vs. buy decisions.-Property tax, excise tax, and local tax issues and forms-Lead the refinery procurement function including the supply chain and warehousing function.-Coordinate and execute all public relations related issues in the Billings area including media responses, press releases, internal communications, and philanthropic contributions.-Manage a team of accounting and procurement professionals as well as a staff of warehouse employees.

-Develop annual budget for Alliance refinery maintenance and turnaround organization. This includes developing the turnaround schedule and budgeting for planned/unplanned maintenance.-Execute the monthly close process for maintenance and turnaround ensuring that all expenses are classified correctly and large accruals are made for services/materials received.-Provide financial analysis a monthly basis. This includes summarizing variance comments and analysis to provide meaningful input to plant management and corporate headquarters. -Forecast annual spend vs. budget on a monthly basis for maintenance and turnaround. This includes developing spreadsheet models (using SAP FI, PM, and PS modules) to accurately forecast maintenance and turnaround expenses in the forward months.
