CurrentIn my 17 years with the Cochran Firm, I have seen the outcomes of my cases result in real change for clients and in the community we live in. Mr. Cochran also believed in the potential for the law to affect change that reaches beyond our practice, and I continue to be motivated by that legacy. In addition to record breaking verdicts and settlements, some ways that my work has honored the legacy of Mr. Cochran are: - Providing disadvantaged, catastrophically injured clients with the ability to afford necessary care and therapy, which has helped clients like the victim of our $17.5 Million anesthesia malpractice suit begin rehabilitation. - Affecting real change in the policies that resulted in harm, as in the changing of Atlanta Police Department procedures following a settlement in an excessive force case that had resulted in the wrongful death of a 92-year-old woman. - Ensuring the continuation of these benefits by serving on the Board of Directors for the national Cochran Firm, and serving as the 2014 elected president of the National Black Lawyers Association.
