The focus of this work was to recover taxpayer funds while continuing to increase the pool of special education professionals. Received over 99% response rate from students who participated in the program. • Served as the co-chairperson for one of the largest annual conferences sponsored by the U.S Department of Education. • Collaborated with department heads of IHEs, Department legal counsel, and outside contractors on numerous initiatives involving education. • Interviewed potential new hires; provided hands-on training to peers, and lead various workgroups for Personnel Development and Technology Assistance and Dissemination.• Organized and led annual “kick-off meetings” for newly awarded federal grants, monitored grant project performance, and tracked budget expenditures to ensure that funds were spent in accordance with federal regulations.
