The Regional Director of the Western Regional Office for Lambda Legal, the oldest and largest national legal organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and people with HIV. As counsel he is responsible for expanding Lambda Legal’s organizational reach in eleven Western states with a focus on non-profit legal administration, strategic planning, financial development, and educational and media efforts.

Lead counsel for approximately 200 arbitration, bench, and jury trials, in addition to managing outside counsel in all phases of litigation throughout the State of California. Knowledge of and litigation experience with FDCPA, FCRA, Card Act, SCRA and 17-200, 17-300 and class and collective action claims.Responsibility within credit card division for providing national strategic legal advice for consistent management and legal supervision of twelve nationwide outside collection law firms in addition to the bank's executive office complaint , bankruptcy, probate, business card and fraud units. Fraud projects included eradicating internet scams. Additional responsibility for policy and procedure drafting, review and updating, card staff training and state legislative bill tracking.Developed and managed legal collection processes and procedures in California for all phases of recovery of credit card debt from filing through judgment and post-judgment enforcement. Grew office from 2 to 55 persons located in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. Staff included collectors, paralegals, office support staff and attorneys. In 2010 filed between 4,000 and 6,500 collection cases per month. Originally selected in 1991 to establish and manage the first California legal department for predecessor bank, Manufacturers Hanover. The office was charged with identifying, investigation and asserting adversary actions in all California divisions of the United States Bankruptcy Court on behalf of the credit card division.

Handled as both plaintiff and defense automotive client docket, including trade groups, dealerships and captive auto financiers in state and bankruptcy courts statewide.Sole caseload responsibility for Bankruptcy relief from stay motions for secured assets.

Prosecuted all phases of adult criminal misdemeanor litigation through trial. Responsible for conduct of adult felony preliminary hearings. Juvenile court assignment responsibilities for both misdemeanor and felony prosecutions through trial.
