As part of the CCA National engineering Team in this role I am setting national engineering standards and strategy in regards Automation and Electrical Engineering. This involves obsolescence replacement planning, planning improvement strategy, maintaining Electrical and Automation standards and project oversite.Key CCA project I have had direct technical input to are in are:- Richlands Expansion including expansion of HV power supply and reticulation- National Cyber Security Project (Network Segmentation and Anomoly Detection) - National Solar Project- Functional Safety upgrades for Machinery- Obsolesce upgrades including site main switchboards, Square D PLC, Citect and Line Management System I am constantly working with key CCA Stakeholders to ensure solutions are not only sound engineering but planned and integrate into our operation and maintained into the future.

In this role I developed and implemented business development strategies to build new business through relationships with key accounts at Alliance Automation. This includes preparing proposals and scope for project requirements for a variety of industries including Mining, Meat, Biogas, Water, Manufacturing and Gas.I oversaw project delivery and ensure customers’ expectations were met and if possible exceeded across a variety of industries.

As the Manager of the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls team at leading mineral processing provider Sedgman, I ensured efficient delivery of engineering services through a continual focus on people management and team development.Leading greenfield and upgrade projects at minerals materials handling and processing plants, I coordinated EIC bid documentation, prepared engineering and capital cost budgets and ensured engineering delivery for optimum project outcomes. The role also included managing group resource allocation, performance management, and workforce rationalisation ensuring projects met their time,cost and quality objectives.

Having started with Sedgman as an Electrical and Controls Engineer in 1997, I was promoted to Principal Electrical Engineer following my role as a Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer.I delivered technical aspects of electrical design including concept development; standard specification review and development; design of engineering systems; identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities; quantities estimating; and review of drafting standards, project definition and project engineering deliverables for projects delivered around the world including Australia, South Africa, Mozambique, Mongolia and Laos

As Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer, I conducted detailed design, design approval, construction support, commissioning, commissioning support, tender specification and review, estimating, project planning tracking and reporting and workgroup management for electrical and control system projects. I conducted preliminary engineering design and quantity estimating for various Pre-feasibility, feasibility and project definition phases for various proposed CPP and CHPP projects: Lake Vermont CHPP, Queensland; Middlemount CHPP, Queensland; Sonoma CHPP, Queensland; Dawson CHPP, Queensland; Saraji CHPP Upgrade, Queensland; Hail Creek CHPP, Queensland.
