I am a strong candidate for the position in this area for the following reasons:1) Wide Array of Work Experience: I have worked more than 4 years in an urgent care /oncology ED and infusion center, 3 year nurse auditor/case management position (combined job position), 3 years in the pre-surgical area and over 4 years in post-surgical area (combined job position). In regards to this remote nursing position, I have worked as a case manager for over 5 years (in North Carolina and San Diego). I am able to prioritize urgent needs and troubleshoot problems effectively. I pride myself in reading between the lines of what my patients may need before they ask and meet those needs to allow for the peace of mind of each patient and their families to whom I serve. I am proficient in multitasking and time management.2) Knowledgeable about various disease processes and treatment: At my previous position, I served a wide variety of oncology patients. The clientele I serve includes patients with uncontrolled diabetes, congestive heart failure, pulmonary embolisms, myocardial infarctions, neutropenic fever, sepsis management, abdominal pain/bowel obstruction, end of life care and much more. I am quick to react to life threatening emergencies with professionalism and proficiency.3) I am knowledgeable about different oncologic diseases, standards of treatment and medication administration. I am very thorough and detail oriented. I am well organized and feel confident in my ability to carry out physician orders. I have also worked post-surgery and understand care for these specific patients.Above all, I am honest, hardworking, driven and compassionate.
