As Associate Director for Philanthropic Programmes, I identify and cultivate new funding sources for the university's priority programmes. I lead UCD Foundation's legacy programme, and facilitate the administration of gifts included in wills for the benefit of UCD students, world-class research, and cutting-edge campus facilities. I develop and manage a variety of strategic projects, which underpin UCD Foundation's purpose of securing and stewarding impactful philanthropic investment. I am the Fundraising lead for the UCD University of Sanctuary programme, which welcomes asylum seekers and refugees into higher education, and also the UCD Ukraine Trauma project.I have spearheaded UCD's engagement with international philanthropic investors in the UCD Centre for Future Learning, a major landmark capital development initiative on campus due to be finished in 2025.

I led the DCU Educational Trust's strategy for developing philanthropic relationships with Trusts and Foundations - nationally and internationally - in order to support Dublin City University (DCU) in its mission to transform lives and societies. I led DCU's engagement with international philanthropic investors, particularly regarding capital development initiatives such as DCU Future-Tech, the university’s planned landmark facility for teaching and research in core science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas.I was the Fundraising lead for the DCU University of Sanctuary programme, which welcomes asylum seekers and refugees into higher education, and also the DCU Centre for Climate and Society.

As Campaign Projects Manager, I played a key role in DCU's Shaping The Future Campaign, a €100m drive to raise funds for more than 20 pioneering and inspirational projects to transform lives and societies through education, research, innovation and engagement. My main responsibilities included:- Solicitation of gifts from trust, foundation and statutory funders.- Leading DCU's engagement with the Immigrant Investor Programme.- Fundraising lead for the DCU University of Sanctuary programme, which welcomes asylum seekers and refugees into higher education and fosters a culture of inclusion, as well as the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre.- Project scoping and campaign tracking.

I produced modules and supervised research work on fundraising, strategic planning, project management, and evaluation methodologies to undergraduate and Master’s Degree students (short 2-month course). I planned and assessed theoretical and practical work and provided a supportive learning environment for students to develop their skills.

In this role, I managed a large grant-making initiative of 12 Foundations, www.epim.info, which advocates for constructive policy approaches to migration challenges in Europe. I provided accountability for the programme’s budget, expenditure and grants, which amounted to 3.5M EUR over 3 years and helped to develop an innovative growth strategy, bringing in additional foundations to the collaboration, including Open Society Foundations, and was centrally involved in designing an ambitious evaluation strategy for the EPIM programme. I oversaw the process of selecting and awarding grants to NGOs, from drawing up and disseminating the calls for proposals to finalising the grant agreements. I also led the capacity development programme, bringing grantees together with donors and other stakeholders every six months within two-day thematic workshops.

As Policy Analyst and Programme Coordinator, I coordinated the EPC’s European Migration and Diversity Programme and was responsible for relations with foundations as well as writing donor proposals and EU funding applications. I also organised numerous multi-stakeholder workshops and Policy Debates, and contributed to regular publications, as well as authoring a bi-monthly update of developments in the area of EU migration and asylum policies.

Teaching English to a range of individuals, including job-seekers, people of migrant origin and children.

Analysing National Action Plans (NAPs) for Social Inclusion of selected EU Member States and writing reports focussing on the provisions relevant for Roma communities.

In this role, I identified, researched and developed reports and position papers based on the EU legislative process, performed data-gathering studies, designed and integrated as to provide an assessment of the impact of particular policies and legislations. I also contributed to building and strengthening partnerships with key individuals and institutions, giving presentations, attending European Parliament committee meetings and meeting with MEPs.

I worked within the France and Italy team, managing a portfolio of relationships with institutional and corporate customers and resolving complex client queries.
