I was recruiting into senior positions in CSR & sustainability across FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies, connecting with a variety of professionals within this field and identifying the complex skill sets and qualifications required for the aspirational sustainability managers of the future. Establishing connections with, and supporting, the organisational bodies and conference organisers which are active in this field, helped to strengthen our outreach.

This was a fascinating role reaching out to leading decision makers in corporate responsibility, sustainability, community affairs, impact investment, marketing and management across the corporate arena to support, and engage with, the social enterprise sector. A pioneering business development role which encouraged major corporations, including investment banks, to re-evaluate their policy with regards to procurement and supply chains, employee retention and engagement, community engagement and social impact, we managed to deliver a number of original programmes.

I was part of a senior team developing integrated business information solutions for major city firms, providing employees and corporate clients with access to business news through the newspaper and via the corporate intranet. Part of an international team, we worked closely with leading business schools to provide students of MBA programmes with top level business news and information. We also established marketing partnerships with major companies, including the organisation of tailored seminars, aimed at increasing the readership of, and subscriptions to, The Wall Street Journal Europe and wsj.com amongst leading decision makers in the City.

A multi faceted role where I was responsible for revenue generation by the global Dow Jones International sales teams into The Wall Street Journal Europe and a series of vertical publications, including Convergence, a technology magazine and CEER (Central European Economic Review). Led the Marketing and Production Teams based in London and Brussels, writing sales materials as well as leading The WSJE's own advertising campaign. Involved in strategic decision making as part of the publication's Brussels-based Management Team.

I managed the Dow Jones International sales team selling global Wall Street Journal properties in EMEA territories. This included recruiting, training and leading the sales teams in London and Paris, selling cross-media solutions in print, on TV and on-line, across the Dow Jones media spectrum.

I managed the Paris sales teams, including recruitment and retention of staff, working for The Wall Street Journal and the Far Eastern Economic Review, liaising directly with clients in France, Benelux and the Middle East

I managed advertising sales into this rather niche publication across EMEA.
