Facilities Engineering Intern - ControlsTexas Instruments May 2023 - Aug 2023Dallas, Texas, United States• Designed and developed the Controls Design package for the new Scrubber Vertical Acid Exhaust that was being installed in TI’s 200mm Semiconductor Factory.• Created a Master Layout and Piping and Instrumentation (P&ID) drawings on AutoCAD showing all the necessary controls instrumentation that are connected to the Scrubber and how it interacts with the other subsystems in the factory, including the main control box.• Compiled a Bill of Materials for all control instrumentation and managed procurement by coordinating with vendors, reducing project costs by $30,000 and shortening lead times by up to 6 weeks.• Created an PLC I/O Points List to compile all I/O tags that will be used in the instrumentation that will interact with the Scrubber, noting the Panel #, Tag Name, Point Type (e.g. AI, DI, DO, etc.) Module # (I/O Slot), Channel #, Field Make, Model, and Signal Type.• Analyzed and annotated existing Siemens Simatic TI505 PLC Ladder Logic Code from Previously Installed Scrubbers to cross-reference I/O Points with the P&ID and panel drawings to ensure a 1-to-1 match for each I/O point and to identify any necessary I/O Points in the PLC Code that are not in the panel drawings, filing the gaps for all future scrubber installations to drive system capability.• Composed the Scope of Work (SOW) and Sequence-of-Operations (SOO) documents to guide programming contractors, outlining the Scrubber’s control processes and breaking them into subsections for streamlined implementation. -

Aerodynamics | Engine/DrivetrainDallas Formula Racing Sep 2018 - Aug 2021Richardson, Texas• Helped design the rear wings of the Aerodynamics Package for the 2019-2020 FSAE vehicle using STAR CCM+ CFD simulations to analyze the aerodynamic downforce and drag on the vehicle.• Package created 10% increase in the lift-drag ratio and reduced vehicle lap times by 4 seconds, which proved to be one of bigger lap time improvements out of all the teams that competed in the 2019-2020 season.• Helped in iterating the package for the 2020-2021 vehicle to attain a greater efficiency of the downforce-drag relationship by experimenting with different wing profiles and designing a diffuser. -
