About Shenilla Mohamed

Shehnilla Mohamed is a media and development practitioner and human rights defender with almost 30 years of experience. She started off as a cadet reporter and worked her way up the ladder to Europe Middle East Editor and Africa Editor of Inter Press Services and similar senior positions in other global media organisations such as Africa Media Initiative (AMI) and Gulf News before making a career change and joining Oxfam Great Britain as the Southern Africa Media and Advocacy Coordinator and South Africa Director. Since then Shehnilla has moved from media to development which has given her a wide range of skills and experience.
