Sheik joined the USAID Digital Connectivity & Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP) - Pacific Program as the Finance & Administration Manager in November 2024.Sheik is a motivated and energetic professional with 12 years of combined experience in financial management, grants management, and operations within the Pacific regional development sector. Having worked on a range of donor-funded projects, he has developed a strong understanding of various donor reporting requirements.Before joining DCCP - Pacific, Sheik served as the Senior Grants Specialist for the USAID Pacific American Fund (PAF) Program, a flagship USAID grant-making initiative in the Pacific region. In this role, he led the program's pre- and post-award functions, which included evaluating grant applications, conducting due diligence, and managing a portfolio of multi-million-dollar standard grants across the Pacific. He also provided capacity-building support in financial management and reporting to NGOs and CSOs throughout the region. Sheik has advanced knowledge of USAID grant management and financial reporting requirements.Sheik has earned a master of commerce in professional accounting, a post-graduate diploma in professional accounting, and a bachelor of commerce with majors in accounting and finance, all from the University of the South Pacific.Sheik speaks English and Hindi and has experience liaising with multinationals.
