I am Sheikh Tariful Islam, an undergraduate student with a strong focus on VLSI design, microprocessor architecture, and semiconductor technologies. Currently, I am working in the VLSI Lab under the supervision of Professor A.B.M. Harun-Ur-Rashid, where I am involved in the complete design and fabrication of a microprocessor using free and open-source VLSI tools. My role includes architectural design, component development, functional verification, and preparing the final layout for fabrication.As a student, I have built a solid foundation in semiconductor physics, digital logic design, control systems, and machine learning. I have gained hands-on experience with tools such as MATLAB, Verilog, and FPGA. Additionally, I have worked on projects ranging from digital system design using logic gates to applying machine learning in biomedical informatics, showcasing my interest in integrating hardware and intelligent systems.In addition to my technical work, I have taken on leadership roles in various academic and extracurricular activities. I actively participate in volunteering efforts where I use my technical skills to support community initiatives and mentor fellow students. These experiences have helped me develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, essential for multidisciplinary projects.I am deeply passionate about advancing the fields of VLSI and microprocessor design. I am motivated by the challenge of solving complex problems in hardware design and aim to explore innovative and efficient semiconductor solutions. My long-term goal is to contribute to cutting-edge technologies that bridge academic research and industrial applications, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in microprocessor architecture.
