The IPC is a nonprofit corporation organized to bring together leaders of the private sector representing the world’s poultry-producing countries to address various issues concerning production, trade, science and improved relations within the poultry industry; to encourage the development and application of uniform and science-based sanitary and marketing standards for poultry in order to assure the safety and quality and availability of poultry products and to facilitate international trade in these products; in order to accomplish the foregoing, to maintain dialogue with relevant international organizations to develop standards protecting the health and economic interests of consumers); to promote technical cooperation and exchange of science-based principles between the national authorities of poultry importing and exporting countries; to promote the transparency of governmental policies of all countries affecting poultry in order to meet the above-stated objectives; to work towards the resolution of issues of mutual interest and concern;

GTPS (Grupo de Trabalho da Pecuária Sustentável)The GTPS - Brazilian Roundtable on Sustainable Livestock was created in late 2007 and formally constituted in June 2009. It consists of representatives from different sectors that make up the value chain of cattle production in Brazil. Attended by representatives of industries and industry organizations, associations of farmers, retailers, banks, civil society organizations, research centers and universities.The goal of the RT is to discuss and formulate, in a transparent manner, principles, standards and common practices to be adopted by the sector, which contribute to the development of a sustainable cattle ranching, socially just, environmentally friend and economically viable.I was responsible for the management of the GTPS, aiming at the group´s consolidation, implementation and maintenance of its objectives; stakeholder engagement; new member's associations, national and international partnerships (MMA – Ministry of Environment, MAPA – Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and Food Supply; Embrapa; Global Roundtable on Sustainable Beef; FAO); Project Management; Internal Management (management/financing); Seminar Organization; Institutional Communication Coordination; monitoring the development of the work accomplished by commissions and sub-commissions. Responsible of the fundraising activities approaching important donors like FSP Farmer Support Programme and Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. Member of the 2014 GCSB (Global Conference on Sustainable Beef) Agenda Development Committee and the GTPS focal point for the organization of the conference held November 2-5 in São Paulo, Brazil, marked a unique and important milestone for the recently-formed Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB).

The Dutch Visitors Programme for 'high potentials' and for 'Influentials' are initiated by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Each year about 100 qualified persons out of 25 different countries (a.o. the BRICS) are offered - with a dedicated programme - the opportunity to experience the Netherlands first hand, to obtain valuable insight in all aspects of the society and to gain relevant knowledge and relevant contacts in their field of interest.I participated in the DVP - Food security and Agriculture - From October 27 to November 6, 2013.
