Hired, trained and managed legislative staff. Served as senior adviser to Senators and Congressman on all legislative and political matters.

Developed and implemented foreign policy agenda for Senate Democratic Leader. Worked closely with foreign policymakers in House, Senate and executive branch to coordinate and manage foreign policy agenda. Successfully negotiated legislation on US-Iraq policy, US participation in NATO’s Kosovo air campaign, and US compliance with international narcotics agreements. Advised Democratic Leader and members of Democratic Caucus on foreign policy issues.
