Provided supervision to four program directors, oversaw a budget of $26.7 million. Reported to Managing Director.- Named to position to allow heavier concentration and commitment to the Minnesota programs in a more unified manner to increase effectiveness and efficiencies. - Led staff through merger to become a national literacy and math interventions program. Retained 90 percent of staff during merger process. - Participated in funder site visits with local, state, and national audiences.- Provided oversight to planning and implementation of annual training institute (>1,000 attendees)

Implement vision and strategic direction for the Minnesota Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Opportunity Corps. Lead staff of 68 to implement research-based tutoring and economic sustainability programs in over 450 sites. Develop and foster relationships with stakeholders, including legislators, funders, school administrators, and non-profit administrators throughout Minnesota.Minnesota Reading Corps places over 1,500 highly trained tutors specialized in supplemental interventions for children age 3-grade 3. Minnesota Math Corps similar to Reading Corps places over 200 highly trained tutors specialized in conducting supplemental math interventions to students grades 4-8. Minnesota Opportunity Corps trains 30 AmeriCorps members through the Global Career Development Facilitator certification program in order to help underemployed Minnesotans gain economically sustainable careers.

Worked in collaboration with Executive Director to create aggressive organizational goals and objectives, and create new employee benefits program for newly formed non-profit organization. Designed newly formed Minnesota Opportunity Corps in collaboration with 16 non-profit organizations serving adults with barriers to self-sufficiency by attaining living wage jobs.

Directed National Service (AmeriCorps and VISTA) programs at the Literacy Council. Led staff in recruitment, site development, outcomes management, and evaluation efforts. Played key role in building one of the largest AmeriCorps*State programs in nation.

Designed and implemented school-based mentoring program in the Twin Cities metro area. Led staff of 11 school-based coordinators in recruitment, support, and evaluation. Built strategic partnerships between schools and businesses to increase number of students matched to a mentor.
