Leading project completion and data analysis of projects at Casa Colina Research Institute. Coordinating and monitoring and supervising successful completion of deliverables. Designed and completed analysis of longitudinal clinical trial data investigating the use of an interferon investigational drug to treat macular degeneration. Fit various models including a repeated measures model and a random coefficients model to evaluate the effect of the treatment, as compared to placebo, on visual acuity over time in individuals diagnosed with macular degeneration. Completed clinical study report and all relevant tables, figures and listings. Designed and completed analysis of salary data from a large hotel chain to investigate whether differences in pay between employees are tied to legitimate nondiscriminatory workplace factors. Used multiple regression models and small group tests to evaluate main and interaction effects of multiple covariates. Six Sigma influenced data mining and analysis of business communications for a startup tech organization. After completing the analysis, my team and I provided the organization with graphics and data visualizations illustrating communication patterns and trends in customer response dynamics. We also made recommendations for optimizing the customer success team's process of delivering information and enhancing interactions with relevant clients.

Independent Principal Investigator, co-investigator and team leader and mentor for research team and clinicians involved in research projects. Leadership role in shaping the vision and program plans for the research department in collaboration with the Director of Research. Achievements: Recipient of grant and industry funding for conducting novel research studies. Made necessary changes to protocols when required to maintain overall goals and meet deadlines.  Designed and successfully completed clinical intervention and pilot research study: LEGO Interventions for Social Skills and Language Development in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Disorders. This study resulted in the development and implementation of a “LEGO Club” clinical program that has been running successfully and generating revenue since October 2015. Recruited, trained and managed more than twenty research assistants. Established effective delegation and training protocols and teams where senior members trained newly recruited members. Trained research assistants in the use of technology and administration of protocols. Mentoring and training clinical and research colleagues to: design research studies, attain IRB approval, write and publish manuscripts, perform data analysis and successfully prepare conference presentations.

Co-led a research team of physicians, nurses, and engineers focused on: 1) innovative monitoring and quantitative analysis of maternal-fetal health and physiology during labor and delivery and 2) development of new tools to improve the treatment of brain injury in newborns. Built a database of clinical and electrophysiological patient data for conducting retrospective analysis of the impact of multiple variables and treatment strategies on short- and long-term patient outcomes. Fabricated epidermal electronics: flexible, non-invasive sensors designed to measure physiological signals such as EMG. Trained a team of research assistants to participate in fabrication and increase production rates. Identified eligible patients, approached and consented patients to participate in research study, and performed electrophysiological recordings on patients including personally applying electrophysiological technology on patients in a hospital setting. Wrote and submitted grant progress reports and IRB applications and updates. Managed IRB and regulatory matters related to patient health and safety. Designed and revised research protocols and data analysis strategies, and collected and analyzed data collected from electrophysiological recordings and medical records.
