I have conducted a research project under two mentors, Marlys Witte, MD, and Mike Dictor, MD which paper was published. I also participated in basic science research in Renal and Neurophysiology and we finding significant results. I consulted, with Mike Dictor, a doctor specializing in Virology, Dr. Jonas Blomberg. The biochemist for the research that was published I never contacted but always received good biochemical products with which I conducted the basic research in pathology.I also participated in a surgical program for Second Year medical students and conducted one surgery during that participation. Interesting case. It was a surgical bowel obstruction with very little probability of survival without surgery and no statistics supporting conducting the surgery. I have no followup yet.Also, I use the skills afforded me by my participation in a group called Belvedere Forensics, listed as a reference on my curriculum vitae.I watched over diabetes management in a private case. The patient was in seriously trouble with his health, a bilateral amputtee, and end stage chronic disease of diabetes. I was brought to a funeral service in his honor after he under went cardiac surgery a further complication of his disease. Two years postop the funeral was given.
