About Sheila Buswell, Ms
Senior Mechanical/Biomedical/Project Engineer with extensive experience in automation and process engineering. My email is sheila.buswell@buswellbiomedical.comABOUT BUSWELL BIOMEDICALI served in the Army, and during my time in Bosnia, a generator fell on my foot. Fast forward 20 years, my mom broke her hip, facing challenges that hit close to home. Witnessing her struggles in a rehabilitation hospital stirred something in me. In Arizona, despite the time gap, not much had changed in how people were treated.My mom's experience motivated me to find a solution. I invented something to address the need for assistance in daily activities like toileting. With a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in BioMedical Engineering, I've spent over 15 years in the field. Currently, I'm proud to be a part of Buswell Biomedical, where we aim to make a real difference with our product, The Upward Mobility or UPMO. We are developing this device to make patients and healthcare workers lives better, and to reduce the 180 Billion Dollars in lawsuits filed every year. On a lighter note, despite my love for Miss Piggy, online quizzes never seem to agree. It's a fun fact that brings a touch of humor to my journey.
