Possessing a multi-faceted background that includes both arts and business administration a talent has been developed for utilizing exceptional creative vision to foster positive cultural experiences for a wide audience that includes theater, film and music. Organizing and streamlining work environments to facilitate efficient processes and procedures, while presenting engaging, educational and enjoyable films, festivals and cultural events is at the core of every endeavor. When working on a variety of events, from film festival screenings and workshops, to live concerts or performances, the most important aspect any good director needs to consider is, “what kind of experience is the audience going to have?” This is front and center when putting together events, whether it's the competition film lineup for the SCAD Savannah Film Festival or a live concert, or when directing a live performance of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Keeping the audience experience at the forefront consistently creates top-notch community events that enrich, educate and entertain the diverse and enthusiastic audiences at the innumerable events facilitated over the past 25 years.Working for SCAD Theaters and Festivals, home of the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, has been an ongoing joy for 22+ years, not just in planning and executing the successful 8-day film festival, but also having the great pleasure of working with and leading a continuously changing group of brilliant students who make up the core of the festival's volunteer staff, numerous professors from various backgrounds and disciplines, filmmakers, authors, directors, sound and production designers, and artists from all over the globe. Countless exceptional relationships have been forged that continue to inform and expand the the numerous cultural experiences, and fuel my ongoing mission to bring people together in a spirit of community and fun through art and entertainment.
