I have a successful track record in research management and higher education administration, including program development and funding; successful proposal writing; staffing and team building; budgeting and project management; delivering high-quality research products; and building client, partner, and stakeholder support. I have successfully led teams of researchers toward completion of multiple, long term, and complex research projects. I was responsible for raising and managing a budget of over $1.5 million per year from multiple revenue sources. I communicate effectively with a variety of audiences. I've written reports, briefing memos, white papers, book chapters, and academic papers with the appropriate tone and at the appropriate level for the intended audience. I am an effective public speaker who also listens carefully and responds thoughtfully in large and small meetings. I have published book chapters and articles in professional journals including Economic Development Quarterly, Metropolitan Universities, National Civic Review, Growth and Change, Public Administration Quarterly, and Supply Chain Management.
