About Sheila Tangren
Upon graduation from college, I started freelance work, mainly working in the design and creation of wedding invitations and related stationery. I have done many logo designs, business stationery, corporate identities and internal company documents and still have a tendency to lean toward the social stationery development. I have worked as a designer in commercial businesses throughout the years in addition to my freelance and learned many professional techniques along the way. In May of 2002, my sister-in-law and I opened a small business in downtown Austin, Minn. This business consisted of scrapbook supplies, stamping supplies and, of course, graphic design services. We brought in a good client base, however, we closed our doors the end of 2004. Even though our doors were closed in November of that year, I still continue a customer service relation from that association and have since been doing business. I enjoy what I do, I love that it seems everyday it is something new and the people that I work with I deal with on a personal level and it makes me proud that I can help them enjoy what just might be the most important day of their life (wedding). I have expanded into the web design market and have found that I enjoy that as well. I am self-taught in most all Adobe software, including a high expertise level of Illustrator® and Photoshop® and I enjoy learning new tricks & techniques. I try to keep my professional development fresh and up-to-date so I stay in the here-and-now to provide the best possible services to my clients.
