UI Designer & UX Researcher , amputee, and mother of three thriving precious children. I found my career learning and developing the process in order to rebuild my own life after an amputation. I had been involved with real estate and public safety (e-911 & EMS prior to traumatic injury. I found comfort with helping others; and after my injury I help in another way. I have the ability to perceive different perspectives and my decisions are based off intuition and empathy. I started out with building excel spreadsheets for a problem I understood existed for pre-arrival EMS services .; and developed EMS DATA ANALYTICS. This design takes all the data from dispatch to hospital saving response time, increase revenue, conform to new transparency and more. I am currently working on service industry mobile applications; specifically domestic violence applications for multiple types of abuse that does not leave visible signs. The domestic violence application is the closest to my heart because it was designed for my youngest daughter and her sacrifices to not be in vain. Good can come from bad, and we can harness the data ti make equitable change for the greater good. I am a survivor; not a victim. Therefore my user experiences are my experiences in my journey. What I call “my crazy life”.

Adversity is something that everyone faces at some point in his or her life. These difficult and trying times however are not what define us, but the way in which we react to them is what reveals our true character. Anyone can be defeated when life does not go as planned, but the strong survivors are the people who can overcome such hardships. i am a survivor, and so are my children. good can come from bad., and crazy can be normal.
