-Manage Sales for a hotel with 213 rooms-Focus on maintaining relationships with current business, and learn how to make their experience and stay the most enjoyable for that specific individual-Connect through resources to extract new leads and develop business contacts-Cultivate and produce relationships with the new leads, and business-Promote our hotel, brand, service, and team to new business, ongoing business, and the outer lying public as a whole-Create action plans to retain the best option for our clients against comp set-Negotiate room rates to perspective clients-Produce and design proposals for all potential business clients-Responsible for production strategies to increase profit for existing accounts

Contribute to the planning, coordinating and facilitating of events; to make the best experience the client could receive an even a better one. I was able to excel in managing attendee needs including; transportation, lodging, and dietary requests. In addition to attendee management I created websites for each event. After seeing these events from start to finish I was able to travel to the onsite event to execute my contributions and hard work to the final product. These are only a few of the great experience I took part in while at The Wellington Group. I was also able to research the most beneficial vendors, locations, caterers, and activities; as well as schedule transportation, meetings, events, and calls. This career altering internship was able to give me these opportunities along with many, many more that I have no doubt will benefit me in my career to come.

I studied courses to strengthen my skills in event planning, business, communication, and hospitality. While at K-State, I was deeply involved in many clubs and organizations that aided me in leadership, making lasting relationships, and learning how to keep a successful club alive, even within it's infancy.

Working as a food and beverage, I tended a bar as well as served guests in a fine dining food and beverage setting. I had the opportunity to shadow the human resources manager, finance department, and even accompany the event planner to view how special events within Piping Rock Club were handled and configured.

Working at International Student and Scholar Services, I assisted students in answering questions about their visa documents, and directing their questions to advisers for further follow up. I aided in organizing events for international students to become more acquainted with Kansas State University and the U.S.

I worked on the farm helping with agriculture needs (waxing combines, running errands, filing paper work). I co-planned a conference for IFYE (International Foreign Youth Exchange). My responsibilities included making hotel arrangements, tracking registrants, developing care packages, and created a silent auction. Polish Delegates came to stay on the farm and I showed them around Northern Indiana.

I was active across the farm doing anything from working in the potato fields, driving tractor, to running long distance errands, to working in the office.
