-Led content strategy, development and measurement for our all-employee news site. This includes writing and editing articles and stories, along with leading site guidelines and governance.-Served as a key partner to communications partners, helping to shape messaging, ensure brand tone and guidelines and follow best practices, based on research.-Assisted in the continued development of our intranet – including advising on content and page layout, performing site updates and tracking analytics.

Focused largely on supporting our human resources team on a wide range of projects and initiatives -- from benefits open enrollment and colleague well-being programming to partnering with our employee health team to educate and inform our colleagues during COVID-19. I also supported our CEO with internal messaging. A few highlights include:-Launching our very first CEO blog space on the company's intranet. Today, it's the highest read section of our news site.-Leading a targeted internal communications strategy to re-launch a service to improve cost transparency with patients. Thanks to colleague awareness and adaption of the service, we increased customer use by 6 times -- going from about 500 uses a day to more than 3,000.-Consulting and providing a recommendation on a new approach to organization-wide colleague forums that would save on overhead costs and boost engagement and effectiveness with teams.

- Led implementation of a shared monthly newsletter – bringing together communications from eight Diversity Networks, Enterprise Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Management. Project included change and stakeholder management, creation of shared processes and protocols and consultation on content and design.- Provide ongoing communications consultation for eight Diversity Network leadership teams, with support focused on distribution of a monthly newsletter, recognition month activities, crisis communications and leadership messaging.- Support Enterprise Diversity & Inclusion in stakeholder communications, enterprise review processes and Diversity Network programming.

My main areas of focus were supporting communications strategy and execution for the the Level I Trauma Center and Burn Center, serving as a strategic partner for a Human Resources department that supports 5,500 colleagues and working closely with the hospital president on a variety of colleague and leader messages and internal and external presentations. A few highlights include:- Leading a comprehensive survey and evaluation of our internal communications channels to promote innovation and improve the effectiveness of our team.-Partnering with the Burn Center during the polar vortex of 2019 to place media stories that provide frostbite education and build the reputation of our services. Over the week, we had 15 mentions, an aggregate readership of 1 million and more than 800 social media shares.-Leading strategy on the official launch of our community paramedicine program. U.S. News and World Report, the Washington Times and USA Today all picked up the story.

I did a little bit of everything during my internship, including leading creative and communications efforts to engage colleagues in celebrating our 60th anniversary and writing blogs on everything from sustainability to heatstroke.
