Held responsibility for the oversight and performance of the regional Partner Relations team, whose focus is on outreach and workforce development for businesses within a 19-county service area. Directly supervised eight staff, in addition to a temporary three-month assignment to supervise four frontline staff providing direct assistance to job seeking customers. Regular duties included WorkInTexas.com state system and employer services training for all staff, performance management and budget tracking for three separate Work Based Learning programs, weekly team meetings facilitation, hiring event coordination and outcomes tracking for quality of candidate referrals and hires after subsequent events, collecting data to present at monthly Board meetings, and ongoing coordination with local service agencies to meet the needs of our customers overcoming barriers to employment across all contract programs. Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to provide forethought to the planned actions of the team, knowledge of labor market climate and best hiring practices were paramount to the success of this position.

Directly involved in the capacity building and advancement the mission of the BCRC and to better facilitate and support the successful return of formerly incarcerated individuals within a 19-country area. The primary focus of this position was on developing and strengthening collaborative partnerships at the local and state level; providing coordination between service organizations, researching and reporting on justice-related legislative initiatives and TDCJ programs to allow the coalition to advocate for systemic change. Planned and successfully executed two resource fair events, one expunction clinic, and one large scale Reentry Expo. The work I performed resulted in the organization achieving 501c3 nonprofit status. This was a volunteer, unpaid position.

Lead the coordination and service delivery components of four separate Mission driven programs designed to meet the vocational goals and basic needs of individuals experiencing barriers to employment within a 35-county area. This included management of six regional department staff, ensuring that employees were productive and held accountable in the success of their positions. Responsible for the research, writing, and implementation of new program policy documentation in support of the bi-annual accreditation processes. Collected data to present at quarterly Board meetings and in the nonprofit’s annual report. Wrote and successfully obtained two small level grants to enhance program accessibility. Supervised two program interns and one AmeriCorps Vista. Established employee, community, and stakeholder relationships to gain insight into the needs of the community and maintain the public’s understanding of Goodwill’s Mission.

Contributed to the program's restructure to better align with the Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) program. Conducted both in office and home visits, educating foster youth ages 16-25 on state health and education benefits, budgeting, employability and life skills. Documented efforts in a web-based case management system, submitted quarterly reports to the Program Lead, managed the agency location's Facebook page, cultivated and maintained MOUs between BCFS and community partners, and the supervision of one program intern. Cross-training in related programs was vital to the success of this position.

Participated in the development and initial implementation of this position within the HOPES Program. Conducted bi-weekly home visits, educating parents on budgeting, employability and parenting skills. Documented efforts in a web-based case management system, in addition to hard case file organization. Supplemental duties included managing community referrals, and processing eligible payment requests for utility bills to ensure adequate housing was secured for at-risk families. Certification in Financial Social Work and the SafeCare model were obtained to perform in this role.
