As a member of the Graduate Student Advisory Committee, I collaborate with faculty and administration to represent the interests and concerns of graduate students within our program. I actively participate in discussions on academic policies, program improvements, and student resources, ensuring that diverse student voices are heard.In this role, I contribute to the planning of events and initiatives aimed at enhancing the graduate student experience, including workshops, networking opportunities, and community-building activities. My involvement helps foster a supportive and inclusive environment for all graduate students.

I am a PhD candidate, specializing in nutrition and integrative physiology, focused on innovative research that enhances health span and combats age-related diseases, specifically cardiovascular disease and metabolic dysfunction. My current project, in collaboration with Recursion Pharmaceuticals, leverages machine learning to identify novel senolytic pathways, paving the way for the development of new therapeutic drugs.Throughout my academic journey, I have gained extensive experience in a variety of laboratory techniques and have delivered numerous research presentations, sharing our findings at conferences and seminars. I am passionate about mentoring and have had the privilege of guiding undergraduate, medical, and incoming PhD students in our lab, fostering a collaborative and supportive research environment.As a first author on a published paper, with three additional manuscripts in progress, I am committed to contributing to the scientific community and driving impactful change through our work.I am excited to connect with fellow researchers and professionals in the fields of nutrition, physiology, and pharmacology as we work together to improve health outcomes through innovative science.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Advanced Cardiovascular Physiology, I supported faculty by facilitating and leading class lectures. I assisted students in understanding complex concepts, graded assignments, and provided feedback to enhance their learning. Additionally, I developed instructional materials and coordinated exam preparation, contributing to a positive and effective educational environment.

As a personal trainer and exercise physiologist, I collaborated with physicians and dietitians to help patients lose weight and improve fitness. I designed personalized exercise programs and conducted assessments, including VO2 max and body composition tests, to evaluate progress.I provided insights based on test results, guiding patients in integrating exercise with nutrition and lifestyle changes. My focus was on fostering sustainable improvements in health and overall well-being.

As an enthusiastic undergraduate student with a strong foundation in biology and a passion for understanding human anatomy and physiology, I contributed as a research assistant in a dynamic lab environment. I was committed to supporting ongoing research projects and gaining hands-on experience that deepened my understanding of complex physiological systems.In this role, I assisted with various laboratory tasks, including data collection, sample preparation, and experimental procedures.
