I am currently a student in the Nuclear Medicine Imaging Sciences program at UAMS, on track to graduate by August 2023. Despite most of my actual coursework being remote and being distant from my directors and classmates, I try to remain as involved in the program as possible. I am currently working towards submitting an abstract for consideration to be presented at the SNMMI-SWC conference in the Spring. I am also working on an article for the SNMMI-SWC newsletter. I hope to remain involved with the chapter after I graduate, and hopefully can contribute to the student mentoring program and offer support to future students as I am being supported now.I am currently doing my clinical rotations at 3 hospitals and one pharmacy in Northeast Arkansas.

I was a medical assistant for the cardiology clinic and a medical scribe for the electrophysiologist within the clinic. My duties as a medical assistant included updating patient charts, checking vitals, performing ECGs, applying and explaining heart monitors, sending orders signed by physicians, assessing patient status, verifying medications, scanning medical records, and scheduling patients. My duties as a medical scribe under our electrophysiologist included documenting details of patient visits and discussing with the provider, updating chart details, uploading pacemaker interrogations, scheduling, and communicating with reps from various companies.

Duties included taking phone calls, making and handling boat and cottage reservations, handling customer check-in/check-outs, operating the cash register, updating slip customer accounts, fueling boats, selling and organizing merchandise, and customer service.
