At the Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (on Fuller) I worked a variety of positions. I most enjoyed passing trays to patients and having the chance to communicate with nursing staff. In addition, I built trays on a per-diet basis, cleared trays after meals, rolled silverware, and performed general cleaning duties. I continued to improve my leadership skills by working as a Team Lead-- someone who takes responsibility in the absence of a supervisor.

I served as a mentor to incoming freshmen in the Niemeyer Honors College. I communicated with them the summer before they attend Grand Valley and guided them through the Honors Transition program. Most of my work was to serve as a guide by directing students to appropriate resources and to answer their questions.
