As a teacher, I have taught Math Workshop, Modeling our World 2, Algebra 1 (honors, general, & inclusion), Geometry (general & inclusion), Algebra 2 (general & inclusion), Introduction to College Math (UH M075), AP Calculus AB, and AP Computer Science Principles.At Kohala High, I have been involved in the standards-based grading initiative that we unanimously adopted as a staff in the Spring of 2016. Since then, we have collaborated in developing unit rubrics for the Common Core Standards and creating standards-aligned activities and assessments. As the Mathematics Department Chair, I work with the Instructional Leadership Team at Kohala to facilitate professional development to support our teachers in meeting school-level goals that are aligned to the complex, district, and state goals. I also dedicate time to professional development to improve my personal practice. Recently, I have taken courses regarding formative assessment for data-driven instruction and the use of technology in the classroom to support education in meaningful ways for students.

This was a permanent substitute teaching position for a teacher who was gone on medical leave through the end of the school year.I taught Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 to seventh graders.In this role, I was fortunate to work with a team of teachers who were dedicated to Project-Based learning. Although I only facilitated project components planned by others, this experience was critical to my understanding of the application of meaningful project-based learning.

Zipline Guides are responsible for gear and course inspections, safety orientations, zipline operation, and working directly with customers to help them have fun and overcome their fears.

AI Campus is host to various Jewish summer camps throughout the summer each year.My job included operation of rock walls, ziplines, a postman's walk, and grapevines. Other duties included safety orientations, gear inspections, team building, and helping campers overcome their fears.
