While teaching at Dell Rapids High School, I have the opportunity to teach two sections of dual credit English to college-bound seniors as well as English I to freshman & IV to seniors. On top of teaching English courses, I teach journalism where I manage 8-15 students on creating the yearbook and publishing a bi-weekly newspaper for the high school. This experience allows me to focus on clear communication skills in order to publish important and accurate information for the school. I also collaborate with a team of English teachers where we work together to align curriculum and create a learning environment that is best for our students. In turn, I have been able to refine how I manage and work together with different groups of people to achieve common goals.
