KIPP Austin is a network of free, public, open enrollment schools for low‐income and historically underserved students in Austin, Texas. There are currently nine schools in the KIPP Austin network, serving nearly 4,000 students grades K-12, and growing every year. OUR MISSION: KIPP Austin Public Schools believes that every child, regardless of economic background has the right to an exemplary education. We will empower our students to thrive in and graduate from college, choose their paths, and positively impact their communities• Reviewed incoming applications, completed phone interviews, and recommended candidates to schools for teacher and school-based staff positions for four middle schools• Coordinated monthly interview process, hiring, and orientation for new substitute teachers for all nine schools• Aligned frequently with school leaders on hiring needs, progress toward goals, and candidate pipelines• Sourced teaching candidates through referral meetings, career fairs, organizational relationships, online searches, and cultivation calls
