I have a total of 7 years experience working in a retail pharmacy setting. Most of my experience has been at Walmart Pharmacy and I have also worked at Homeland Pharmacy. I love to learn new skills and one reason why I chose to get into pharmacy was to keep learning. I did briefly attend pharmacy school but I did not finish. I learned skills there such as compounding and aseptic technique that I would be able to put to use in other pharmacy settings. I am willing to get certified in compounding and IV to further my career. I have excellent customer service and communication skills with doctors offices, insurances companies, and patients. I enjoy being able to help people whether its through solving an insurance issue, getting their medication ready on time, answering their questions over the telephone or showing them where something is in store. I am looking to further my career with experiences outside of the busy chain retail setting as I believe that I can use my experiences that I've learned in the retail pharmacy and in pharmacy school to become a better certified pharmacy technician.
