Prior to enrolling into the Tech Elevator program, I worked in the service industry for 13 years. My early entry into the workforce at the age of 14 has long fostered my natural intellectual and analytical qualities, while enabling me to efficiently develop strategies and contribute to a collaborative and productive environment. My adaptability has paved a path along various fields of work and allowed me to embrace working alongside a team, as well as working independently. I have taken on the role of a server, barista, trainer, shift supervisor, sales associate, an artist, and most recently, a self-employed driver. By independently navigating the realm of freelance work, I was able to take time to assess my path and observe what I needed in order to feel fulfilled. My compass had led me through a multitude of experience, but I often contemplated where and how to apply it. That is when I was led to Tech Elevator. By straying from my previous experience, I had not left it behind, but instead have accessed each and every skill that I have obtained in order to fully dedicate myself to learning something that was once unknown to me. I can now combine my logic and creativity in my search for knowledge as a full-stack software developer. I am highly motivated to present my efficiency, intellect and diplomacy in a software development role that allows me to exhibit my array of skills and contribute to a driven team of kindred individuals.
