I've always wanted to be an educator. One of my first memories in school was an elementary teacher telling my mom, "Shelby is such a great helper! She could be a teacher someday!" That was it for me, it was fate.After my completing my undergrad program, I went on to spend some time in the classroom as a kindergarten teacher. While I loved every moment of it, I began to realize that professional development and adult learners often get left behind. However, companies that offer continuous professional development have less turnover and more empowered employees.There is so much more to education than meets the eye and that's where my passion for adult learning comes into play. I excel in performing needs analysis and designing and implementing cross-functional integration of learning to reach objectives. In addition, my excellent attention to detail allows me to create engaging learning experiences for every type of learner.I may not be the type of educator my younger self has always imagined, but I am still doing what I do best: putting the learner first.
