As senior optical engineer at Arizona Optical Metrology, I am responsible for design, fabrication, tolerancing, and final reporting of custom CGHs. I manage a growing team of design engineers, and also have an active role in process development, new product development, R&D, customer support, and software development.I earned my PhD in Optical Science in 2016. My research was to develop diffractive optics that boost the efficiency of solar energy conversion.I enjoy tackling open-ended questions, but also find it rewarding to develop a proof of concept all the way into a production-ready process. It’s a fun balance to embrace novel technologies while always thinking about the customer need and the practical details required for implementation.
