Shelby Cox is a producer, director, administrator, and performer with over 13 years of experience in the musical theatre and opera industries. She has produced at well-known NYC venues including The Green Room 42 and The Tank NYC. She recently founded The Cabaret Collective, a musical theatre producing group dedicated to creating opportunities for up-and-coming performers, composers, and directors.Shelby holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The Juilliard School where she worked as an usher, admissions blogger, and orientation leader. She has been described by her supervisors at Juilliard as "a natural leader, generous collaborator, and kind colleague, and an invaluable member of the Vocal Arts community." She has maintained a private voice teaching studio since 2014, and served as Music Director for Raleigh Charter High School’s productions of "Mamma Mia" and "The Wizard of Oz."As a performer, Shelby is equally at home in musical theatre, opera, cabaret, and concert repertoire.
