Human Resource manager and supervisor of 5 employees in office and retail operations. Prepared and presented monthly financial reports for board of directors and served on program committees for family selection, family support, public relations, and faith relations. Mortgage originator and manager of locally serviced portfolio of 65 mortgages. Served as chief liaison with press, vendors, international Habitat office, and corporate and individual donors. Led fundraising efforts generating over $200,000 in home sponsorships.

Managed the local implementation of Green Schools Program in 8 public elementary schools and one private K-12 school in Christian County, Kentucky. Trained and provided teachers with curriculum aimed at strengthening student academic learning using hands-on, project-based instruction and tools regarding electrical use. Conducted trainings and workshops for K-12 students and teachers on energy assessment tools and energy saving activities for their school community. Performed Energy Hog (www.energyhog.org) assemblies for elementary school audiences (upwards of 500 students) to teach students how to save energy in their school and homes.

Facilitated multiple online asynchronous college-level courses with diverse student body and class size averaging 20 students. Administered and oversaw CHART’s existing educational, grassroots and advocacy programs while developing and implementing new projects and programs aligned with CHART’s mission, strategic long-term plan, and Board policies. Developed and maintained CHART's annual budget in line projected grant revenue. Managed financial reporting, payroll and accounting processes for government and funding organization reporting.Served as CHART’s principal spokesperson in all dealings with other organizations, individuals, media and the general public. Traveled throughout the state, as needed to attend media events, coalition meetings, make presentations and meet with supporters.Further developed coalition partnerships and grew membership with approximately 20 new statewide and national organizational supporters.Identified opportunities for new funding sources. In the first four months of 2007 successfully brought in over $350,000 in new grant funds and in-kind donations. Raised just under $450,000 in new funds for 2008 which tripled the annual CHART budget.Developed successful grassroots campaign, Smoke-Free Tennessee for the 2007 Tennessee legislative session to promote the passage of a comprehensive smoke-free workplace bill. Campaign management involved developing a statewide public relations event tour with 12 stops in key markets featuring local politicians and celebrities. Developed multiple websites to market the campaign to different audiences - http://www.tnchart.org (organizational website), http://www.smokefreetn.org (campaign website) and itsakiller.com (targeted messaging). Worked with the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and a local public relations firm to develop a radio advertisement to run in key markets. Utilized the statewide coalition network to advertise the campaign through email action alerts, online campaign updates, and press releases. The legislation passed and most Tennessee workplaces became smoke-free as of October 1, 2007.

Oversaw the design, management, and implementation of complex online fundraising projects for several national nonprofit organizations, including campaign management, communications and marketing strategy, web site and email design, vendor relations and writing and editing messaging components.These projects raised over $2 million dollars in 2003 through online donations.Developed the online component for a Spring 2003 fundraising campaign for a national environmental organization which brought in over $750,000 in less than 3 months through an integrated direct mail, telemarketing and online marketing strategy.Managed the strategy development and implementation of the online fundraising plan for a national civil rights organization that netted $1.5 million in 2003 (an increase of 77% from 2002).

Managed the development and implementation process of custom web-based database, email and content management applications for non-profit and socially progressive clients using a team-based approach under established timelines and contracted budgets. Worked with programmers to develop and troubleshoot custom database variables, queries reports and user interfaces for Access and SQL databases.Consulted with clients to identify key requirements, define project scope, develop project plan and provided leadership to internal teams on projects and daily production issues.Developed comprehensive online and in-person training programs for several custom web applications.
