Responsible for:*Lead in development, design and production of all packaging materials*Managing all aspects of packaging from concept through to delivery*Responsible for developing and successfully pitching designs both internally and externally to clients by utilizing market trends and product specifications *Spearheading daily design by creating custom illustrations, logo designs and brand identity *Working with Product Development to design packaging dielines and structures*Crafting design comps and production specs for overseas offices and factories*Reviewing all production samples to assure accuracy, content, registration and color* Creating mockups for demonstration, design evaluation and promotion of products*Photographing product, retouching images and manipulating high resolution photographs for packaging and other marketing materials

- Collaborates with the Art Director, Creative Director and other creative team members.- Coordinates with the Project Manager to monitor project schedules and progress. - Assists in initial design direction and concepts with the creative team.- Manages licensing agreements for client content, imagery, fonts, designer tools and final art.- Implements improvements to files by modifying formats to increase the quality of production.- Establishes and implements the Standard Operating Procedures for the design studio.- Prepares files for pre-press according to the department guidelines and SOPs.- Creates vector drawings, packaging concepts and layouts.- Retouches photography for print, web and digital applications.- Maintains quality, brand and style guideline standards.- Manages multiple projects and prioritizes workflow to ensure deadlines are met.- Reviews files that are created by the creative team for content, authenticity, brand guideline adherence and color accuracy.- Lead Designer on the FDA regulatory compliance project: -Attended webinar training for new FDA standards and NLEA regulations. -Directs creative team members on new practices and guidelines. -Oversees and enforces the implementation of FDA standards across all packaging. -Initiated a concise process for gathering data, managing workflow and updating artwork to be compliant with the FDA regulatory changes for nutrition labeling standards.
