I have spent my entire marine career on the Great Lakes. Started in June of 1989 to the present. Started out as a deckhand and worked my way up the ranks to my present position as Chief Mate. I went to the Nova Scotia Nautical Institute during the winter months and studied for my WKM certificate as well as my 1MNC license. I have pilot certificates for all sectors of the Great Lakes including the St. Lawrence Seaway. My duties include but are not limited to supervisor of deck maintence, payroll, loading and discharging the vessel.
