I am a driven environmental scientist and graduate of the University of Western Australia with a Master of Biological Science, with my specialty being Marine Biology. Passionate about the conservation and maintenance of coastal and terrestrial ecosystems into the future, and motivated to apply those principles to my work. My current role of Heritage Consultant with JCHMC has allowed me to preserve the Native Title rights and interests of Traditional Owners through an environmental lens, through writing and reviews of EMPs and environmental survey reports. I have familiarity with the EP and BC Acts, and EPA procedures regarding the management and rehabilitation of terrestrial flora and fauna. I have both academic and volunteer experience in wildlife conservation. Graduate and postgraduate degrees have given me knowledge in ecological and physical ocean processes, skills in scientific writing and research, and experience with statistical data analysis. My postgraduate research had me analyse trends in Western Rock Lobster populations at Rottnest Island, including whether their abundance or size were affected by the implementation of protected sanctuary zones among other factors. I have skills with Microsoft and Google suites, R-Studio, Primer, Ocean Data View, Github, and GIS software. I have also volunteered as a part of the Pendoley Environmental turtle monitoring program, giving me hands-on experience with both threatened species and interacting with larger corporations on conservation management plans. I have experience in laboratory operations and sample collection from my work with PathWest. This position has provided me with a unique perspective on customer service from patient interactions, and a strong focus on workplace health and safety from the infection control requirements. I also have demonstrated work history in consumer services with Australia Post and MinAnalytical, predominantly in warehouse environments. Additional skills include PADI scuba certification and a current First Aid and resuscitation.
