Having been involved in the planning and development industry for 20 years, I have a broad knowledge and experience in both urban design and statutory planning fields. The blend of urban design skills and built form appreciation enables the delivery of design solutions that go beyond the ordinary response. On the basis of this experience, Hex Design and Planning was established in 2017 to offer a 'personal' approach to development, having direct involvement with all project undertaken.The main driver behind current planning is to be passionate about creating great places for people of all ages. From experience it is essential to understand opportunities, constraints and all aspects of a site and produce an innovative design response tailored specifically towards client’s needs. I have a strong record of creating plans that facilitate economically feasible development, but never at the expense of innovation. My approach to design is to focus on the delivery of outstanding planning projects that are commercially successful.To complement creative skills, I also have a broad base knowledge of all aspects of the development process including planning, project management and delivery. I have gained extensive experience in a wide variety of significant design projects for private and public sector clients in Western Australia and New South Wales, covering master planning, subdivision design, detailed land use assessment and yields analysis, built form and design guidelines.As the founder of Hex Design and Planning, I am able to assist in all facets of development, and happy to discuss any of the aspects with you.
