It's so cliché to say "If you throw me in the jungle I will come out with a fur coat" but my most valuable asset is my ability to adapt to environments and bridge connections between people. I graduated High School and Junior College on the Principal's and Dean's Honor Rolls respectively and have exceeded the requirements for a Bachelors Degree in Management from SUNY New Paltz, a prestigious University. I'm a firm believer in having dynamic skillsets, so while most of my professional experience is in the Human Services and (Military) Engineering fields, I have initiated studying or volunteering in other fields of interest for further self-development. I've been an Army Reservist for 11 years -six of which I spent in a leadership position and three of which I have served on active duty- with time spent on combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, and training. I currently work full-time at the Center for Discovery as a Direct Support Professional, teaching life skills to individuals with developmental disabilities. I have 7 years experience in the human services field, 10 years experience in Building Construction -with six years in Construction Management- and I have additional experience in Sales, Customer Service, and Hospitality Industries; which makes me skilled, not just educated. On March 3, 2013, I became a Volunteer Firefighter in the Monticello Fire Department, to further build on my character, skills, fitness level, and ability to contribute something meaningful with a positive effect on a great number of people. I 'm also an active member of the VFW and American Legion two Veteran Organizations where I assume leadership positions to better advocate for American military veterans. At 29 years old, I am fortunate to have had such an extensive professional background, yet I remain hungry for the next milestone and hope that I will accept that challenge willingly and humbly when the occasion arises.
