Responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of the plant including the trunk and distribution system.Troubleshoot and repair problems associated with RF, AC, DC, and portion of the forward and reverse plant, such as transmission levels, signal losses, off-air interference.Perform routine balancing, aligning, and adjustment of components and equipment used to amplify and process signals.Test main trunk lines using signal level meters, volt-OHM meters, spectrum analyzers and other related test equipment on a regular basis, compare findings in the field with documentation.Test power supply on a regular basis and perform field engineering walkout as required.Monitor and record system leakage and repair drop leakage. Read general system layouts from blue prints and system.

Installs and repairs Cablevision’s video and on-line products.Performs installs, disconnects, reconnects, relocations, changes of service.Services equipment from the tap to the customer’s devices through the use of advanced digital field meter and diagnostic equipment. Determines root cause and solution on advanced technologies that include but are not limited to HDTV, EDTV, HDMI, DVI, Component, Composite, DV, S-Video, Interlaced and Progressive Scan Signals.Maintains all stock and work-related supplies in an organized, professional and safe manner and audits serialized assets. Ensures all work-related equipment and vehicles are utilized and maintained in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring all work-related tasks are performed in compliance with Cablevision and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Acts as a customer advocate by ensuring complete customer satisfaction by diligently resolving all reasonable customer requests relating to the installation and service of our products and educates customers in the use of our products. Advises customers on payment options, will handle cash and verify credit card payments and may serve as the final collector prior to disconnect.
