Profile bio

About Sheldon Pearson

I am an established Leader and Project Manager with a background in Real Estate, I enjoy bringing people together to accomplish a common goal. I believe that success is found through hard work and treating people with a high degree of professionalism, if you can accomplish these two things anything can be achieved. Throughout my career, I have been helping others accomplish goals that were previously thought to be impossible. By getting others to believe in themselves, we can reach goals that exceed even our own expectations. The most rewarding part of my job is when those that work for me become better people.Since I was young, I have been able to lead and accomplish what I set my mind to do. At the age of 13 I was able to become an Eagle Scout. While at TCU I was elected as a representative to the student government body all four years. In the early part of my career, I was fortunate to travel the country in the Oil & Gas Industry. It was important to learn the value of analytics in the decision-making process. This is where I really developed the skill of connecting with people and getting stakeholders on your side. The travel that I had in this part of my career has been beneficial to me having a broader view of potential issues that I may encounter. My wife and I met after college and moved to Chicago for work, where I was able to land with Verizon Wireless and thrive with an outside of the box mindset. My previous experience allowed me to understand what motivations other may have, this has been a great asset in relationship management. Some of my biggest accomplishments have been leading teams to successfully negotiate an RFP with the Chicago Transit Authority and creating a team and a business plan for getting the most approvals from ComEd in a single year for our organization, over a 250% improvement.I was lucky enough to come back home to Texas with Verizon. My biggest accomplishments have been sourcing and on-boarding new people to do work that had previously not been considered. This team negotiated partnerships with Real Estate Developers to generate win-win agreements that streamlined the development of our network in the areas that are seeing the largest population jumps.I am an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to TCU Athletics. I enjoy meeting new people and hear your story; I think we can all learn something new and fun from the unique experience that we all have. I am open for a conversation whether it be professionally, or just getting to know each other.
