I once successfully created a one-person company, and whenever clients or friends asked, I would always say that the company only consisted of me. Meeting new clients, collaborating with ongoing clients, and building a support network of different friends to sustain the company's operations. This state of affairs lasted for four years, but in reality, I did not create a sustainable and healthy business entity.During the industry's growth phase, you can easily find abundant partners, business forces, and ambitious entrepreneurs. However, when the market declines, I found myself exposed and vulnerable, experiencing the irony of Warren Buffett's mockery firsthand.Although the outcome of the entire process was contrary to my expectations, there is one thing I can say repeatedly: I have learned a lot. Throughout the process, you need to focus on new potential opportunities, master negotiation skills, explore new communication methods, and build support networks and friendships beyond the core business. In addition, you also need to reconcile accounts with finance, send out numerous invitations, stay updated on industry trends, and establish a healthy company operating state. You need to become an icon, the person others immediately think of when they have a goal.Although the company did not survive (I personally ordered the cancellation of the company's business license, facing the awkward faces of financial partners), the new skills I acquired during the process have been reintegrated into my new job role.In my current job, planning and producing podcasts, researching business models, and contemplating design opportunities brought by technology are all valuable legacies of being a CEO.I have also become more expressive, haven't I? Responsible for product experience design, I found a clear and defined product design language amidst the chaos of a startup company.While imitating and borrowing from Slack, I also built our own design system for the product BearyChat. It was evident that Slack and Discord had established more robust design systems. However, in my role as a product experience designer, I only managed to complete about half of the work, with the majority of my focus being on the web platform, leaving limited time for mobile app design.Fortunately, the company was later acquired by another tech giant in China.

Having experienced the early stages of entrepreneurship in the Chinese internet industry, the company initially aimed to create a Chinese version of LinkedIn but unfortunately failed. Later on, the focus shifted from social networking platforms to utility-based products, consistently catering to the needs of business professionals.I was responsible for user interface design, aiding the company in launching a series of new apps at a reasonable pace.
