I was a Fellow in the Office of Congressman Joseph Kennedy III, via funding from The Mission Continues. In this job I worked as a Military and Veterans Liaison, working with the Senior Veterans Caseworker to solve issues facing veterans and servicemembers in the 4th Massachusetts District. I also was in charge of interviewing veterans in the district for cataloging in the Library of Congress via The Veterans' History Project.

As the non-commissioned officer-in-charge (NCOIC) of all 3 AFN Iwakuni departments – radio, news, and production – I would write, produce, and edit video stories, host radio entertainment shows and develop public service announcements to air on radio and TV. Further, I served as the primary Editor for the News Department, making difficult editorial decisions that impacted our viewership ratings and were visible to a large radio audience with nearly one million potential listeners.Among my accomplishments were award-winning products in radio and television, redesigning the news program with a focus on social media through a digital news desk, and creating a station-wide Standards and Practices manual for new Marines to use in their training and product development.
