• Manages the claims submission and paper claims functional areas. This includes but is not limited to recommending staffing levels, organizational structure, estimating time, cost and completion of work, coordinating with other vendors and teams, monitoring performance and ensuring quality assurance standards and benchmarks are met.• Regularly audits results to ensure success.• Develops and implements efficient, effective and consistent policies, procedures and process flows for claims submission and paper claims activities across all locations.• Ensures adherence to best practice setup, policies and procedures, and provides recommendations for improvement.• Proactively identifies and avoids compliance issues.• Partnering with Operations and Account Management leaders, responsible for ensuring service level agreements are met for each client in the claim’s submission and paper claims area, handling escalations in a thorough and timely manner, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing action plans for problem resolution.• Responsible for managing a team of employees, some of whom may supervise others. This includes hiring, training, coaching and developing direct reports.• Prepares and delivers performance reviewers to direct reports.• Provides regular feedback to team members regarding performance.• Recommends and assists in implementing a common set of systems, tool and reports for use by all claims submission and paper claim teams across all state-side locations.• In partnership with Help Desk and EDI group defines where claims submission work ends and where EDI work begins and ensures seamless hand-off where applicable.
